Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Animus Pets (“ANIMUS”, “we”, “us”) for your use of animuspets.com and the ANIMUS app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read the section about veterinary care carefully — it is the most important part.
ANIMUS is not a veterinarian. ANIMUS provides educational guidance and helps you judge how urgent something is. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for professional veterinary care. If you believe your pet is having an emergency, contact your nearest veterinarian immediately — do not wait for ANIMUS.
1. What ANIMUS does
ANIMUS is an AI wellness companion for dogs and cats. It helps you describe what you are seeing, gives you calm educational guidance on how urgent it may be and what to consider doing next, keeps a history of your pet’s check-ins, and offers general nutrition and care information personalized to the profile you enter.
2. What ANIMUS does not do
ANIMUS does not practise veterinary medicine. Its output is informational and educational. It may be incomplete or wrong. It cannot examine your animal, run tests, or know things you have not told it. Decisions about your pet’s health remain yours and your veterinarian’s. You agree that you will not rely on ANIMUS as your only source of guidance in an urgent situation, and that you will seek professional veterinary care when your judgement, your vet, or ANIMUS itself indicates you should.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at support@animuspets.com if you think someone else has access to it.
4. Acceptable use
Please do not: use ANIMUS for animals other than the pets it supports and expect reliable results; attempt to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service; upload content you have no right to upload; use ANIMUS to give veterinary advice to other people as though it were professional advice; or use it for anything unlawful.
5. Your content
The pet profiles, check-ins and photos you add remain yours. You give us the permission we need to store and process that content in order to operate the service and generate guidance for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell it and we do not share it with pet-food or product brands.
6. Our content
The ANIMUS name, the site, the app, and the software behind them belong to us and are protected by intellectual property law. You may use the service for your own personal, non-commercial use; you may not copy or resell it.
7. Availability and changes
ANIMUS is a young product and it will keep changing. We may add, alter or remove features, and we may suspend the service for maintenance. We will try to avoid surprises, but we cannot promise uninterrupted availability.
8. Pricing
ANIMUS is currently free to start. If we introduce paid features in future, we will make the price and what it includes clear before you are charged.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the guidance ANIMUS produces is accurate, complete or suitable for your pet’s situation.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Animus Pets will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the service, including any decision made or not made about an animal’s care. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using ANIMUS and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@animuspets.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page, and we will tell you about significant changes in the app or by email. Continuing to use ANIMUS after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
